Local Commissioner Regrets Renaming Street for Guns N’ Roses

Only one day after Las Vegas officials renamed a local street “Paradise City Road” in honor of classic rock band Guns N’ Roses’ residency at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, a local commissioner is saying that she regrets the decision.

According to Clark County commissioner Mary Beth Scow, the poster promoting the band’s concert is making her think twice about the street renaming. The cartoon poster (which was not released before the renaming) shows a scene of Las Vegas which includes a woman sitting in a disheveled way on the sidewalk, her underwear pulled down and her breasts exposed.

Scow believes that the county should revoke the name change and that the band should change the poster for the concert, as the image promotes violence and sexual assault against women.
