A man from Illinois who generated publicity last year when he renamed himself after a Led Zeppelin album has passed away at the age of 64.
Led Zeppelin II, who was born George Blackburn, suffered a second heart attack on May 18th.
He had renamed himself after the band’s iconic second album last year after he and his wife divorced, as a way to start a new chapter of his life. He had been a huge fan of the classic rock group, seeing them perform at least 20 times during the 60s and 70s. Led Zeppelin II was the group’s first No. 1 album on Billboard when it was released in 1969.
